Application Checklist

When the time comes to fill out your application make sure you are prepared.

When applying for a home loan, you’ll need to provide a variety of documents. Below are some common items you may be asked to produce.

  • Copy of fully executed purchase contract and copy of earnest money check (front and back).

  • Residence address (including landlord phone numbers) for the past two years.

  • Names and addresses of each employer for the past two years. Also paycheck stubs for all borrowers covering most recent 30-day period.

  • Names, account numbers and balances of all checking, savings and brokerage accounts. Also bank statements (must include all pages) for the most recent two months on all accounts.

  • W-2 forms for all borrowers for the last two years and tax returns (copies to include original signatures).

  • Statements of other income (interest, dividends, IRAs, etc.).

  • Addresses/leases for other real estate owned, as well as loan information.

  • Check for credit report and appraisal fees.

  • If self-employed, commissioned or bonus earning individuals, the past two years' tax returns (complete set) including all schedules and attachments and a year-to-date profit and loss statement.

  • Borrower and Co-borrower Social Security card and picture identification (driver's license).
